1. Who We Are
MAVORAIQ is operated by Afro Cannect Inc., a company registered in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information across every region we serve: Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, Nigeria, and the United Arab Emirates/Saudi Arabia.
2. What We Collect
- Account data: name, email, password (hashed).
- Business/Opportunity Passport™ data: legal business name, registration/EIN, industry, revenue range, employee count, funding objectives, and similar profile fields you provide to enable matching.
- Payment data: processed and stored by Stripe, our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, matches viewed, collected via analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog/Mixpanel where enabled).
- Documents you upload: to the Document Vault, for reuse across applications.
3. How We Use It
To provide the matching, scoring, and application-assistance service; to process payments; to send funding alerts and the Weekly Opportunity Digest™ (only to subscribers, and only where you haven't opted out); to improve the Service; to comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EU/UK GDPR)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data on the basis of: contract necessity (delivering the Service you signed up for), consent (marketing communications, non-essential cookies), and legitimate interest (fraud prevention, service improvement) balanced against your rights.
5. Your Rights, by Region
- EU/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK).
- Canada (PIPEDA): access to your personal information and the right to request correction.
- United States: depending on your state (e.g., CCPA/CPRA in California and similar laws elsewhere), the right to know what's collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information — MAVORAIQ does not sell personal information.
- Australia (Privacy Act / Australian Privacy Principles): access and correction rights, and the right to complain to the OAIC.
- Nigeria (NDPR/NDPA): right to access, correct, and object to processing of your personal data.
- UAE/Saudi Arabia (PDPL): right to access and request correction or deletion of your personal data, subject to local implementing regulations.

6. Sharing and Processors
We share data with: Stripe (payments), our hosting/database provider (Supabase), our email provider (for the Weekly Digest and alerts), and analytics providers listed above. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
7. International Data Transfers
Because MAVORAIQ operates across Canada, the US, the UK, the EU, Australia, Nigeria, and the Middle East, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required (e.g., transfers out of the EU/UK), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal/tax/audit purposes, or until you request deletion.
9. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes
We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice.
